Graveside services for Caleb Josiah Bird, 24, of Timpson, will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells, Texas. Caleb went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 23, 2026, in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was born on August 24, 2001, in
Terre Haute, Indiana to Fred and Amy Bird.
Caleb was raised in the country in Nacogdoches County. He attended Bird Family Homeschool. After receiving his high school diploma, he attended Ivy Tech community College. While in school, Caleb was involved in Bible quizzing and was a log cabin builder and explorer. Caleb was a featured minister at many revivals and youth meetings. He was a self-taught pianist and was a talented and crafty artist. Caleb worked for a time in construction in Nacogdoches. Caleb loved bringing smiles to others, making them feel loved, cared about, and happy. He was content being home, bringing laughter to his family with his antics. Forever Daddy's Little Buddy, they spent years volunteering together at Life Care Hospice offering love, cheer, prayers, and hope to patients and their families. His passion for taking care of people led him to become a Patient Care Tech at Union Hospital where he received an award for being the best night shift care tech. Caleb served as a mighty evangelist over the years, preaching far and wide throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Indiana. He was a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and always his dad's right-hand man when he pastored.
Caleb was a chosen, mightily anointed preacher. God used him in many ways to speak the Word to people. He was a prayer warrior and a fervent worshipper of Jesus Christ. He traveled far and wide bringing the "Good News" of Jesus, preaching Acts 2:38 salvation. Lives were changed, hearts were touched, people were healed and set free. He held a ministry that contained many miracles. He was a true servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Caleb had the biggest heart, was always giving to others never expecting anything in return for his kindness and love. He genuinely loved his family. He held the hearts of his parents, brothers, and sister. He was gentle, loving and compassionate. Caleb was truly appreciative of everything he had. He was always thankful for everything God blessed him with. Caleb was a hard worker, dedicated and faithful. He enjoyed the small things in life. Caleb was resilient and strong when faced with some of the hardest things in life. Yet he was determined to conquer and was victorious. He realized that God was greater than anything imaginable and was his strength. Caleb had two angels that were taller than the trees, held flaming swords and dressed in white that accompanied him everywhere he went. He did not fear the unknown because he knew Jesus held his hand and future. He was so full of hope and went on a journey beyond the horizon into that heavenly city called Heaven. He awaits in the portals of glory where no tears dim the eyes and peace, joy, and love forever reside. He is worshipping and having the best time of eternal life. Caleb is experiencing the fragrant tree of life, reunion with loved ones, and praising Jesus forever. He awaits us. What a reunion we will have with our Caleb soon and very soon! Love, Momma & Daddy
