Henry L. Walker

     Henry Lee Walker, 73, of Concord, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025. He was born on February 29, 1952, in Fairfield, Illinois, the son of George David and Nellie (Weasel) Walker. Henry graduated from Carmi Township High School in 1970. He attended Southeastern Illinois College where he obtained an Assoicates Degree in Auto mechanics. He then went on to get an Associates Degree from Ivy Tech in electronics. Henry married Olena Bryukhovetska on July 27, 2005 and she survives. He worked as a shipping clerk at Infinity Molding and Assembly in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, until retirement. Henry grew up in and attended Concord United Methodist Church in Concord, Illinois. Henry enjoyed genealogy. Henry was an avid University of Illinois fan and enjoyed attending games with his son, grandson and best friend David Mobley. He was also a big Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. Henry loved reading his Bible and had a great Christian faith. Most of all, Henry loved spending time with his friends and family.

      In addition to his wife Olena Walker, Henry is survived by his children, Shannon (Nathan) Dolan, Eric (Whitney) Walker, Janelle (Dustin) Blazier, Meredith (Jon) Morton and Margarita (Dmitrii) Pianov-Osadchyi; grandchildren, Maeve, Walker, Zoe, Nolan, Selah, Piper, Declan, Luka and Leo; a niece Krystal (Mariano) Bernhardt; and a great-niece, Kolbie. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Henning.

     Funeral services for Henry Lee Walker will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, with burial at Union Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Henry's memory to Concord United Methodist Church, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements.
