Henry E. "Hank" Warmingham

NEWPORT – Henry E. "Hank" Warmingham, Jr., 86, of State Route 28, passed away on January 30, 2024 at FoltsBrook Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Herkimer.
Mr. Warmingham was born on October 10, 1937 in New Haven, CT, a son of the late Henry and Anita (Velsh) Warmingham. He graduated from East Haven High School in 1959. In 1960 he entered the U. S. Navy and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was honorably discharged in 1964. On June 3, 1972, Henry was united in marriage with the former Teresa M. Gregorka at the Old Stone Church in East Haven, CT. Hank was a superintendant for the Highway Department in Branford, Connecticut for many years, before moving to NY. He was last employed as an operations manager at Todd Cable Construction, Newport, where he took great joy and pride in growing the business for 20 years until his retirement. He enjoyed many trips down south in his motor home to escape the upstate winters with his two co-pilots.
Survivors besides his wife 52 years, Teresa, include three children, Todd (Kimberly) Warmingham of Barneveld, Craig (Amy) Warmingham of Hamsted, NC, and Beth (Kurt) Warmingham Newport; nine grandchildren, Krystal, Peter, Alexis, Kalli, Aydan, Colin, Lauren, Tyler and Jacob; four great-grandchildren, James-Todd, Myla, Mason and Bentley; a brother, Walter (Doris) Warmingham; and special family, Richard, Amy, Lily and Paxson Dommer. Henry was predeceased by three children, Robert, Judy and Stacey Warmingham.
A memorial service will take place at the First Baptist Church of Newport, 7497 Main Street, Newport on Saturday, February 3, at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Walter J. Tomasik, Pastor, officiating. A celebration of life will follow at Patty Jean's Country Restaurant. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport.
