Herbert Aboff Obituary

ABOFF - Herbert S., passed away peacefully on October 5, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Huntington, New York, on March 4, 1935, son of the late David and Beatrice. Herb worked in his family business, Aboff's Paints, and as a developer of real estate on Long Island for more than thirty years. He was very involved in the community and local not-for-profit organizations including PAF Playhouse and the Family Service League. After retiring, he divided time between Manchester, Vermont and Palm Beach, Florida, playing golf daily and traveling the world. A devoted husband to his first wife, Joan (predeceased), he is survived by Winifred, his beloved wife of 41 years; his adored children, Donna, Rod, Peggy (Jamie), and Liz; his grandchildren, Amelia (Paul), Jordan, Tommy, Kevin, Lindsay (Tristan), James (Brigitte), and Iain; and great-grandchildren, Yevhen, Jaxon, Jojo; as well as many nieces and nephews. Herbert was predeceased by his siblings, Lois, Melvin and Ruth. A private memorial service will be held in the coming weeks.
