Herbert Allen Obituary
Herbert R. Allen, 60, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Oswego, Illinois, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 16, 1965, Herbert lived a life centered on family, friendship, and meaningful experiences. He was known for his caring nature, his quiet strength and the way he valued the people around him above all else. Herbert believed that life was best lived through moments shared with others, and he often reminded those he loved to "live for the experiences and not things."
He is survived by his beloved mother, Joan Rock; step mother, Linda Allen, his son, Jonathan Allen; his sisters Melody (Angelo) Minneci, Sandy (Tony) Strong, and Linda (Tom) Stancato; and his brothers, Roy Rock, Ben (Lucy)Rock, and Edward Allen.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Herbert E. Allen, and his longtime best friend, Leigh Ann Allen.
Herbert will be remembered for the kindness he showed others and the lasting impression he hoped to leave behind. In his own words, he simply hoped that he made a difference to someone along the way. His memory will live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Herbert's name can be made to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
