Herbert Harmon

Herbert Harmon, known by many as "Herb," passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025 at age 92. Family was everything to Herb. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He lived a life full of purpose, passion and love. He enjoyed being a ham radio operator, playing golf, and working on and driving sports cars. Herb proudly served his country by serving in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956.
Herb is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evie Harmon; his daughter, Lori Elman, son-in-law, Victor Elman, son, Mike Harmon, and daughter-in-law, Renee Harmon; grandchildren, Rachel Baroff, Aaron Elman, Patrick Harmon, Shawn (Kendra) Harmon; great grandchildren, Liam Harmon, Harper Baroff; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Harmon and sisters, Bertha Schub and Virginia Gold. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main St. Interment will follow at New Tifereth Israel Cemetery. Shiva will be observed immediately following interment at the Windward Trace Clubhouse, 812 Windward Way, Gahanna and on Sunday at the home of Herb and Evie Harmon from 1-5 PM with minyan at 3PM.
