Carol Susan Schaefer age 71, passed away on December 10, 2025. Preceded in death by her parents Everett and Patricia Schaefer and brother John Schaefer. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Craig Ian Schneider, Daughters and son-in-law Rose Krivich (Joseph Krivivch), Jessica Schneider, sister Christine Dailey (Alan Shoemaker), brothers Jeffrey Schaefer (Toni DeSantis), Jim Schaefer (Sue), Joe Schaefer (Mindy) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carol was born in Columbus Ohio on December 4th, 1954, and graduated from Bishop Ready High School in 1972, Ohio University in 1976 and The Ohio State University College of Law receiving her Juris Doctor in 1987. After Graduating from Ohio University, Carol was employed by the State of Ohio at Orient State Institution for the developmentally disabled, then the Franklin County board of Development Disabilities at ARC Industries East. Carol then returned to school and earned her law degree and was employed by the Ohio Supreme Court as a law clerk for the Honorable Justice Herbert Brown in 1987. Carol went on to work for the State of Ohio Department of Insurance as a staff attorney. After retiring from the State of Ohio Department of Insurance Carol went to work at State Auto Insurance as an attorney. Carol then returned to the State of Ohio Department of Insurance until her final retirement in 2021 after 33 years with the Department of Insurance.

A celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 11th at 1pm at the Dublin Community Recreation Center, 5600 Post Rd., Dublin led by Rabbi Leighann Kopans followed by a eulogy. We will then invite anyone who wishes to share a remembrance or say a few words in honor of Carol to come forward. There will be a table set up with memorabilia from Carol's life. If you have items you'd like to share, please place them on that table.

Afterward we invite everyone to remain for an informal luncheon with food set out for all.
