Eric Byerly Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ingram Funeral Home - Marysville on Dec. 13, 2025.
Eric D. Byerly, 57, of Marysville, passed away early Friday morning, December 12, 2025, at Dublin Methodist Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born August 17, 1968, in Columbus to Frederick R. and Karen A. (Weiss) Byerly. A 1986 graduate of Bishop Ready High School, he began his working career at Honda of America, where he retired as a project manager in February of this year. Very social and outgoing, Eric was the life of the party. He held longtime memberships at the Marysville Moose Lodge #1561 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3506, where he made many lasting friendships. He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting turkey and deer. A sports enthusiast, he played basketball during his high school years and beyond, and always rooted on the OSU Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He tied his love of sports with his family life, spending time as a girls' softball and basketball coach for his daughter, Kyleigh's teams. A dedicated family man, nothing gave him greater joy than spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids, especially his grandson, Roman, who was the light of his life.

Eric is survived by his wife, the former Traci L. Clippinger, whom he married December 15, 1991; their children Kyleigh (Nate) Wolfgang and Jake (Kelsey) Byerly; grandchildren Roman and Callum; mother Karen; siblings Cheryl, Melissa, and Samantha; his uncle Ray; and several nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick, in 2011.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-7 pm Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hope Center, 333 N. Maple St., Marysville, or the Moose Charities, 155 S. International Dr., Mooseheart, IL, 60539, to be used for the Mooseheart Child City & School. Contribution cards will also be available during service times at the funeral home.
