Herbert "Herbie" Barnwell Johnson, Jr., 70, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, February 22, 2020. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 1, 2020 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Funeral service will be held in Sunday, March 1, 2020 in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel at 4:00 p.m. Herbie was born December 27, 1949 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Herbert Barnwell Johnson, Sr. and Dorothy McKeithan Johnson. He was a carpenter. He is survived by his three sons, James Johnson (Chelsea), USN, of Germany, Herbert Barnwell Johnson, III (Shelby) of Edmond, OK and Zachery Johnson of Charleston, SC; one daughter, Barbara Johnson Doverspike of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Piper Owen Johnson; three sisters, Donna Marie Johnson of Charleston, SC, Karen Abby Ilgen (Craig) of Charleston, SC and Gail Trommetter (Walter) of Charleston, SC.
