Herbert Arthur Scherch born July 11, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland. Son of the late Arthur M. Scherch and Anna Helen Witt Scherch. He was husband of Audrey Ruth Beich Scherch to whom he married November 11, 1950 for 73 years.
Retired from Baltimore Gas and Electric in August 1984. He is survived by his wife Audrey Scherch and daughter Shari Loftus and her husband, Jeffrey Loftus of Spring Hill, Tennessee. He was predeceased by a brother Norman Scherch and a sister Naoma Scherch.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Westminister, Maryland. He belonged to the Masons, Door to Virtue # 46 AF & AM; the Shiners, Boumi Temple and was a veteran of Foreign War.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral or services. Cremation and interment will be private.
Memorial contributions can be made to the following: American Heart Association or Cancer Association.
