Herbert Sellner Obituary
Herbert Jerome, the son of Walter and Grace (Wilson) Sellner, was born on April 3, 1941 in Faribault, MN. He was named after his great-grandfather who invented the Tilt-A-Whirl. Herb grew up in Faribault and graduate from Faribault High School with the Class of 1959. Following graduation, he worked as a machinist for Sellner Manufacturing Company. He was united in marriage to Sharon Gare and they had four children together, Lynn, Michael, Dean, and Timothy. She preceded him in death in 1987. Herb had a love for music, specifically Jazz. He was a part of a jazz band called the Cat's Meow. Besides his love for music, he enjoyed donating his time at the Faribault Senior Center and Habitat for Humanity. He also enjoyed chasing storms and being a pilot.
Herbert is survived by his children, Lynn (John) Samuel, Michael (Amy) Sellner, and Dean (Nikie) Sellner; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon; son, Timothy; and brother, Wilson Sellner.
Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Jorgensen officiating. Interment will be held at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory.
