Herbert Lee Stanley Jr., 72 of Rocheport, Missouri, died Sunday, June 22, 2025, at University Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Herb was born in Moberly, Missouri on February 26, 1953, son of Herbert and Barbara (Monnig) Stanley.
He graduated from Salisbury High School in 1971 and then graduated from Truman State University with a degree in Accounting and Business Administration. He worked first as a manager for the Department of Surgery and retired in 2018 as Executive Director of University Physicians. Additionally, Herb served 17 years on the Boone County Fire Protection District.
Herb is survived by his wife of 52 years, Louise, son Colin (Danica), and granddaughter Emery. He is also survived by his sister, Gladys Parks of Keytesville, his aunt Marylon Marek, 6 nephews, a niece and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Pam, and Uncle Junior Marek.
Services will be Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Midway Locust Grove Church. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Guests are invited for lunch at 12:00pm following the service.
A private burial will be held at Eastlawn Memorial Cemetery in Salisbury.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Ronald McDonald House or the Central Missouri Food Bank.
