Herbert Walker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robert Massie Funeral Home - San Angelo on Dec. 11, 2025.
Herbert Lee Walker, 68, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Dallas.
Memorial Service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Superintendent Jackie Allen, pastor of Merical Temple Church of God in Christ, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Walker was born July 7, 1957 in San Angelo to Ernest Lewis and Jerlean Walker. He was the fourth oldest of nine sliblings and the oldest of the three boys.
Herbert was known to most of his friends and family as "Sheriff", "Casanova" and "Buford". He was also known as "Pawpaw" to everyone. Buford is what his late lovely mother called him. If you knew Sheriff, you knew him, no questions asked. He was known to be the Sheriff around town to everybody. Herbert was raised in San Angelo and attended Blackshear Elementary and Lee Jr. High. He later moved to Dallas and was there until his passing. Herb had a passion for detailing cars, he always made sure his car was cleaned, buffed and shining. He worked at detail shops here in town while he was able to still work.
Survivors include his spouse, Georgia Griffin of the home; his daughter, Jennifer White and partner Joshua W.; his two granddaughters, Desiree C. and Journey J. of Dallas who he loved dearly; his four lovely sisters, Brenda Daniels, Sarah Miller, Vanessa Townsend and Nikki Branch; two brothers, Stanson "Wayne" Walker and Forest "Foxey" Walker; and a host of beautiful nieces and handsome nephews. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Annette Lewis and Patricia Perryman; a nephew, Edward Lewis; and a niece, Cassandra Carson.
He was the best son, brother, uncle and friend that anyone could have. Rest in Heaven you will be missed.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" Matthew 5:4
"So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice and no one will take away your joy" John 16:22
