Herbert Wharton departed this life on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the age of 64. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Herbert was a high school graduate and he attended one year of drafting school. He was a self-employed Master Carpenter. Beloved husband of Beverly Wharton. Loving father of Ayesha Brown, Crystal LeBant, Reginald Otis, and Daniel Carter. Grandfather of Jai’cee Brown. Son of the late James Dotson and Rosemary Jackson Wharton. Brother of Eddie Wharton, Dwight Wharton, Phillip Wharton, Leslie Boyd, Diane Wharton, Antoinette Wharton, and Estelle Wharton. Also cherishing his memories are 12 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Cornerstone Christian Center and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Cornerstone Christian Center, 6550 Lapalco Blvd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Will be Private.
