Heriberto Loesener Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Premier Funeral Services - Salt Lake City on May 18, 2025.
Heriberto "Eric" Loesener passed away on the evening of May 14, 2025 in Lehi, Utah.
Eric was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on February 13, 1946 to Juan Helmut Loesener and Victoria Gertenbach. Eric loved playing soccer as a child and watching it as an adult, cheering for his favorite team River Plate. At the age of 19 Eric joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the church and God. Only 2 years after being baptized he served a faithful, two year mission teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Cordoba Argentina Mission. Eric spent many of his younger years serving diligently in various capacities within the church, and remained faithful throughout his life.
Eric was formerly married to Liliana Cope with whom he shared five wonderful children, Maximiliano, German, Elizabeth, Joanna (deceased), and Emilie.
In 2001 Eric moved with his family to Utah. Already speaking Spanish and German fluently he learned English very quickly and loved living in Utah. Here he earned his realtors license and worked many years as a realtor. He also worked for many years as a companion to elderly people with dementia, offering care and support and respite for their families. He spent many of his years in Orem, Provo, and then Kaysville, and then moved to Lehi in his later years.
He is survived by his children Maximiliano Gabriel Loesener, German Andres (Michelle) Loesener, Elizabeth Mariam (Ariel) Lagomarsino, and Maria Emilie (Michael) Green. He is also survived by 10 beloved grandchildren: Thomas, Andrew, Mark, Bella, Charleskrl, Leo, Victoria, Benjamin, Lucas, and Samuel, and by his brothers Rodolfo Loesener and Federico Loesener, and his former wife Liliana Cope. He is preceded in death by his daughter Joanna Celeste and his parents Juan Helmut Loesener and Victoria Gertenbach.
For those wishing to pay their final respects, Funeral Services for Eric will be held at 12:30 pm, Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Beacon Pointe Ward, 776 West Candlelight Drive, Saratoga Springs, with a viewing be begin one hour prior at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Lehi City Cemetery.
