Herman Henry "Hank" Adams, 73, of Kerrville, TX, was called to his Heavenly home on July 24, 2025. Hank spent his last few months at Hilltop Village, where he received care for his advancing Alzheimer's Disease.

Hank is survived by his wife, Jody, of 49 yrs; daughter, Kati; granddaughter, Holden; sister, Annette; sister-in-law, Lisa Lacy; and nephew, Andy Lacy.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan; brother, Bruce; brothers-in-law, Terry Trauth and Gary Page; parents, Herman Haskell and Marilyn Koenning Adams; and parents-in-law, Ignatius Charles ''Jim'' and Penny Tucker Trauth. Hank had many cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all.

Between his college years, Hank entered the Army for almost 4 years where he became a Korean linguist interpreting Korean messages into English. To the day he died, he could speak the language fluently.

To know Hank was to love Hank. He could take any situation and make it funny and turn a frown into a smile every time. Jody, his wife, says it was his humor that sealed the deal for her. They met and married while attending Southwest Texas State University. Following their graduations, the couple moved to Houston where both of their children were adopted, 3 years apart. Hank received a fellowship to Rice University and left that to pursue a position as chief chemist for Charter International Oil Company. After 8 years, he decided (with his wife's pleading) to go to Chiropractic College where he graduated magna cum laude. The Adams family decided to move to Kerrville in 1995. Hank and their son, Jon, loved to fish and hunt and explore together. Jon's death from an accident in 2001 sent Hank into a deep depression from which he did not fully recover. Hank left chiropractic and spent a couple years working for KISD and then 8 years working for James Avery. Then it was retirement time.

Last year, our daughter, Kati, graced us with our only grandchild, a darling daughter named Holden. She has brought much joy to all of us.

We would like to thank Hilltop Village, Peterson Hospice, VA and Grimes Funeral Chapels for the great care Hank received from them all. We are truly blessed, as was he.
