Herman Louis Badillo Jr., 88, of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025. He was born in 1937 in Chicago to Herman Luis Badillo Sr. and Dolores Collazo Badillo, Herman moved to Puerto Rico in his early years before settling in California. He attended Pierce College and later continued his education at California State University Northridge.
Herman honorably served his country in the Air National Guard as an electrician in Van Nuys. His professional career began at Savings and Loans Data Processing before he built a distinguished career with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) until his retirement.
Throughout his life, Herman called many places home, including Chicago, Puerto Rico, and California’s San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita, before settling in Plano, Texas in his later years.
Herman is survived by his loving children David Badillo, Julie Badillo and her wife Suzanne Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dexa M. Badillo, his son Daniel Badillo, and his parents.
