Herman Levesque,87, of Southington, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. He was the loving husband of Angeline (Bard) Levesque for 67 years.
Herman was born on April 4, 1937 in Fort Kent, Maine, one of 12 children, to the late Pascal and Amanda (Caron) Levesque.
He was employed at Stanley Works of New Britain for 43 years as their shipping clerk. One could say he loved the adventure of being outside. He enjoyed camping and fishing, with his favorite spots being the lakes of northern Maine and Candlewood Lake in CT. He also enjoyed taking his quad with friends on trips into the woods. Herman was a devoted NASCAR fan, watching every race and attending many in person. After his retirement, his favorite pastime was working on Herman’s Park, building and crafting things to have on display. He had a love for dogs and enjoyed many days relaxing with them in the gazebo.
In addition to his wife Angie, Herman is survived by two sons, Brian Levesque and Patty Coughlin of Wallingford and Michael Levesque and Oscar Montanez of Bristol and one grandson, Joshua Levesque and McKenzie Luciano of New Britain. He is also survived by his brother, Phillip Levesque and wife Claudette of North Fort Myers, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Gloria Levesque, Blanche Michaud and Priscilla Carpenter and seven brothers, Rosaire, Claude, Euclide, Eldon, Patrick, Alberie and Reginald Levesque.
