Herman Jr. has always been my mentor since he wrote me a personal letter when I was a freshman at TCU. That letter came at a time when I really needed some encouragement and I shall be forever grateful that he took the time to write it and send it to me. RIP Herman and Gig-em Aggies.

Very sad to read about my sweet, long time friend Herman´s passing. We knew him most of his life and loved him and his family. He was special and will be missed by many.
