Herman Simon

Herman Simon, 94 years old, formerly of Paterson New Jersey, passed away on November 15, 2025. Herman was the beloved husband of Ursula , and devoted father of three children, Peter, Diane and Alan. He was a grandfather to five grandchildren, Anna, Catherine, Sophia , William and Lillian. Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, Herman tirelessly worked days so that he could attend NYU law school at night. He received his Masters of Law inTaxation in 1963 and his JD degree in 1968.

Herman went on to build a successful career in New York, New Jersey and North Carolina. He will be remembered as someone who was dedicated to his work, and the people he served. Many of his clients remain life-long friends. He had a generous heart and always made time to listen and help others in need. He is most proud of his work with Pitt Community College in North Carolina, and the Herman Simon Building for health sciences built in 2010.

Although his time here has ended, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched forever. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, November 21st for family and close friends.
