Mr. Herman Lee Steelman, Sr., 64, 218 Rocky Lane, Statesville, died Sunday, March 23rd at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Iredell County February 14, 1939, son of the late Walter E. Steelman, Sr. and Cleo Cook Steelman who survives. Also preceding him in death was his wife Carmen Price Steelman, who died on March 24, 1994.

He was a electrician and in addition to his mother he is survived by 1 son, Herman Lee Steelman, Jr. of Statesville and a daughter, Nanette Warren of Asheville and 1 brother Walter E. Steelman, Jr. of Statesville, and 1 sister, Sylvia Steelman Cook of Cleveland. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Carolyn Flower.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 26th, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Tim Fluke officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

Pall Bearers will be: David Barker, Scott Flower, Lee Flower, Stephen Dillings, Jr., Bobby Holbrook and Benny Phifer. Honorary Pall Bearers will be: E.J. Johnson, Jay Hall and Bobby Price.
