United States Army Infantry World War II Veteran. Received his Bachelor's Degree in Business and Master's Degree in Communications from Governors State University. Real Estate Broker and Investor for 70 years, starting his career for Park Forest Realty, and then Proprietor of Tri-Village Realty and Herman Tieri & Company Realty. Chairman for 40 years of the Chicago Heights Zoning Board of Appeals. Adjunct Real Estate Appraisal Professor at Prairie State College. 45 year member of the Chicago Heights Lions Club. Husband for 58 years of the late Louise nee Napoleon. Father of Donald Tieri, Susan (Dr. Samuel) Ristich, the late Robert (Sheryl) Tieri and Thomas (Mary) Tieri. Grandfather of Alex (Nikki) Tieri, Allen Tieri, Nicholas Tieri, Jay (Samantha) Tieri, Lauren Tieri, Ana (Jared) Olsen, Samuel Ristich, and Claire Ristich. Great grandfather of Jack Tieri and Carson Olsen. Son of the late Katherine nee Paduano and Caesar J. Tieri. Brother of the late Caesar W. (late Eileen) Tieri and Bernice (late John) Wernicke. Brother-in-law of Lucy (LeRoy) Czarnecki. "Uncle Herman" of Kathleen Costabile, Jeffrey (Vicki) Tieri, Lori Tieri, James (Laura) Tieri, John J. (Mary) Wernicke, Patricia (Joseph) Gnaster, Larry (Lisa) Czarnecki, and Lon (Amy) Czarnecki. Great uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros.
