Hewett Wesley Buescher, age 89, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the Holzer Medical Center ER in Jackson, Ohio. He was born November 7, 1922 in Labadie, MO., the son of the late Walter R. Buescher and Etolia A. Reed Buescher. Hewett was a 1940 graduate of Wellston High School and was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, having served during WWII. He was a former independent contractor. Hewett is survived by his children, Sharon Lee (Jim) Bell of Pataskala, Wayne Rodney (Katherine) Buescher of Pataskala and Robert A. (Teresa) Buescher of Jackson, as well as 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June Elizabeth Campbell Buescher in 2010. At Mr. Buescher's request, there will be no services and his body was cremated. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Ridgewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be made in Hewett's name to the American Cancer Society, 138 Marietta Road, Suite D, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601. Services are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home.
