Paul "High Stepper" Holland, born January 17, 1952, passed away on November 26, 2025. He was lovingly raised by Joseph and Annie Holland, whose guidance shaped the strong, steady man he became.
On Christmas Day 1997, Paul married the love of his life, Doris, and with that union gained a bonus daughter, Tami. Together, Paul and Doris formed an over-the-road truck driving team, sharing countless miles, stories, and memories. Trucking wasn't just his job-it was his life's passion. A lifetime truck driver, Paul was known on the road as "High Stepper." Fellow drivers often relied on his unmatched sense of direction; a true "walking roadmap," he could outdo Google Maps any day of the week, and he was always ready to help others find their way.
Throughout his long and dedicated career, Paul earned two awards for driving one million miles and three awards for safety, a testament to his skill, professionalism, and steady hand on every road he traveled.
Paul enjoyed football, cheering faithfully for the Kansas City Chiefs, and he was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan who especially admired Dale Earnhardt.
He is survived by his children, Toby and April Holland; his bonus daughter, Tami (Jim) Vogelsmeier; grandchildren Danielle (Eric) Norris and Tiffany (Cole) Poynter; and great-grandchildren Teagan Poynter and Peyton Browning.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Annie, and his siblings Steve, Craig, and Valerie.
Paul's legacy lives on in the many miles he traveled, the people he helped, and the family who loved him dearly.
