Hilda C. Anders

Hilda C. Anders, age 85, of Litchfield died Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at the Hilltop Good Samaritan Center in Watkins.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2006, at the Zion Lutheran Church with pastors Harvey Nelson and Tim Hansen officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery.

Hilda Christina Anders the daughter of Herman and Mary Johnson Williams was born on February 19, 1920, in Belview, Minnesota.  She grew up and received her education in Litchfield graduating from Litchfield High School in 1938.   On March 5, 1940, she was united in marriage to Alden Anders.  They farmed for 25 years in Meeker County before moving to Litchfield in 1964.  Hilda also worked at Tonka Toys in Mound and Fingerhut.  After retirement she enjoyed being a driver for the Council on Aging for over 20 years.  Hilda was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed crocheting, baking and gardening, especially flowers.  Hilda also enjoyed visiting with friends and family.  

She is survived by her children; Gerald and Diane Anders of Abbotsford, WI., Duane and JoAnne Anders of Lunenburg, MA., Galen Anders of Watertown, eight grandchildren; Bryan and Shelly Anders, Scott and Krista Anders, Gregg and Cari Anders, Heather and James Musil, Samantha Anders, Kyle Anders, Marc Anders, Melissa Anders, four great grandchildren, a twin brother Harold and Vivian Williams of the Twin Cities, sister Anna Dilley of Litchfield, besides other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alden, brothers Henry and Raymond and a sister Mary Mae.
