Hilda Webb Enloe, 93, of Rutherford County, North Carolina, passed away on August 6, 2025.
Born on January 7, 1932, in Rutherford County, Hilda worked as a switchboard assignment clerk in the telecommunications industry. She was known for her strong work ethic, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family.
Hilda was preceded in death by her first husband, Hoyt Enloe, and her second husband, Alton Thompson; her parents, Claude Webb and Ray Webb; her sister, Modine Hamrick; and her brothers Hoyt Webb, Yates Webb, Don Webb, and Foy Webb.
She is survived by son, Harold Enloe (Rhonda) of Rutherfordton; grandchildren: Stephanie Insley (Howard), Caleb Enloe (Jesse), Hannah Hensley (Trent), and Josh Enloe (Heather); and great-grandchildren: Cole Insley, Caroline Insley, Liam Enloe, Piper Hensley, Phoebe Hensley, Aiden Riva, and Ayla Lawing.
She is also lovingly remembered by her special niece and caregiver, Cheryl Honeycutt, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A service to celebrate Hilda's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Mt View Baptist Church 430 Hwy 221S, Rutherfordton NC 28139. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the church. Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery 224 Chimney Rock Road Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
