Hilda Todd Obituary
Mrs. Hilda Cox Todd, age 85, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital. Born on September 26, 1940, in Loris, SC, she was the daughter of the late Mack Daniel Cox and the late Leila Vereen Cox. Mrs. Todd was a loving homemaker, a member of the Gideons International Auxiliary, and a longtime active member of Loris First Baptist Church. She lived a life dedicated to the service of others, deeply loved her family, and was a wonderful cook, who shared her love through every meal.
Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Lawton Edward Todd; son, Scott Todd (Lisa); grandchildren, Emilee Todd McElveen (Drew), and Chandler Scott Todd (Lauren), and great-grandchild, Ella Rose McElveen.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Todd was predeceased by her infant son, Trent Todd; brothers, Dr. J. M. Cox, Henry Cox, and Winston Cox, and sisters, Eloise Bell, and Francis Sills.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Loris First Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Phillips and Rev. Drew Jackson officiating. Committal services will follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, prior to services, at Loris First Baptist Church. The family requests that memorials be made to Loris First Baptist Church, 3117 Main St., Loris, SC 29569.
