Elmer Todd

Elmer J. Todd passed away on December 10, 2025 at home in Canon City, CO. He was born on July 3, 1931 in Egypt, PA. He was fourth in line of 12 kids born to Edgar and Margaret Todd. He worked in the family rug-making business until he reached the age to enlist in the Army. He was an Army medic until 1971, retiring after 20 years. Elmer worked as an LPN in numerous nursing homes and hospitals around Colorado. He ran Elmer's Lock and Key from 1971 until 2010. He also helped his wife in her business, The Affordable Seamstress, until his passing.

Elmer married Lori Canaday on April 2, 1979 in Hugo, CO. They had 46 years together. He is survived by his wife, Lori; sons, Larry Todd and family, Louis Todd and family, Jim Todd and family; and daughter Margaret Stroup and family. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; 6 sisters and 5 brothers; his son, Alvin; and granddaughter , Brandi.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 11am, Holt Family Funeral Home: 806 Macon Ave in Canon City with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Mountain Vale Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
