Hillard Wall Obituary
Hillard Vester Wall Sr., age 92, of the New Salem community of Lookout Mountain, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2024.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Hillard’s life will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Reece Fauscett officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Monday.
Born on November 8, 1931, Hillard was the youngest child of the late William and Nora Jane Bodenhammer Wall. He was a skilled carpenter renowned for constructing numerous custom homes in the area. Hillard's dedication extended beyond his profession as he was a steadfast member of the New Salem Methodist Church and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Hilary (Joe) Guinn, Melia (Chad) Reeves, and Lexi Wall; his great-grandchildren, Presley, Blake, and River; daughter-in-law, Cindy McCallie; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Hillard is now reunited with his beloved wife, Freida Moore Wall, and their son, Junior Wall. Hillard was also preceded in death by several siblings.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Dade Health and Rehab staff for the compassionate care they provided during his final days.
May Hillard's legacy of hard work, faith, and service be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
