Hipólito "Polo" Hernández Nava, beloved father of Cynthia, Adriana, Alexander,Angelica and Emmanuel; grandfather of Calia, Alaina & Leandro; devoted son of the late Hipólito Hernández Ávila and María Celia Nava Nava; dear brother of Raúl Hernández, María Socorro (Salvador Gutiérrez) Hernández, Irineo (Ofelia) Hernández, Celia Hernández, Reyes Hernández, Dolores (Martin) Escobedo, Olivia (Reynaldo) Sánchez, Elva Hernández, Marco Antonio Hernández, María (Noe) Franco and the late Manuel Hernández; cherished uncle and friend of many.
Visitation Will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside. Prayers Thursday 9:30 am from the funeral home to St. Alexis Church in Bensenville, IL. Mass 11:00 am. Interment Arlington Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois.
My siblings and I would like to express our deepest gratitude for all the prayers, kind words, and support during this very difficult time. After much thought, and hearing from many of you who wanted to help, we have decided to accept monetary donations toward our father's funeral costs.
We wanted to share this opportunity because we know how much our father meant to so many of you, and we want you to feel a part of honoring his memory. Please know there is absolutely no obligation-your love, prayers, and memories are more than enough. This is simply a way for those who wish to contribute to do so.
