Hollice Ray Joiner, beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on August 3, 1943, in Winnsboro, Texas. Hollice lived a life defined by love, service and a deep connection to God and the great outdoors.

After proudly serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the Aircraft Carrier, USS Hancock CV19, with the G-Division, and then living in Alaska for a couple years, Hollice returned home and began a lifelong journey that would touch countless lives. He was an avid sportsman, and found his greatest joy in nature - a passion he lovingly shared with multiple generations of family and his clientele.

In the 1980's, Hollice turned his love of fishing into a full-time career as a professional guide on Lake Fork, where he became affectionately known as "The Mayor of Lake Fork." His knowledge, humor and generosity made him a legend among both clients and peers. Over the years, he wrote monthly articles for Honey Hole magazine and appeared on several episodes of their popular television show. His accomplishments were recognized on the covers of Honey Hole, Texas Fish & Game and Texas Sportsman magazines.

Never one to sit idle, Hollice also channeled his appreciation for wildlife into the art of taxidermy, creating beautiful pieces for hunters across the nation. Through every hunt, every cast and every story shared on the water, Hollice inspired others to appreciate the simple, lasting beauty of the natural world.

Hollice was a humble man who loved deeply and lived life fully. He was widely respected throughout the angling community and was cherished in his hometown of Winnsboro, TX. where he also served as a Volunteer Fire Fighter.

For the past fifteen years, Hollice has shared his life with his devoted partner and caretaker, Linda Chase, whom he loved deeply. Through her, he was able to enjoy his love for horses, rodeos and of course, her Rodeo Queens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas G.and Nova Wilcox Joiner, and his son-in-law, Rick Page and he is survived by his three children, Stacy Lourie Page; Patrick Lane (Brandy) Joiner; Holly Joiner (Jimmy) Crow - along with 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren - each of whom carry his legacy and love for the outdoors. Two brothers, Dathen Joiner; Dreabon (Pam) Joiner; one sister, Teresa (Steve) Broadus; nrumerous nieces and nephews who were special to him.

Hollice will be remembered for his generosity, his story-telling and his unwavering love for his family, his friends and the natural world he held so dear. His spirit will forever echo across the waters of Lake Fork and in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be laid to rest through the assistance of honorary pallbearers, Orville Bennett, Brooks Rogers, Rhandy Simmons, Dale Stokes, Jack Page, Bootsie Blundell, Chad Bowen and Mike Bowen.
