Holly Dawn Beeler was born on September 11, 1990, in Yakima, Washington, to Kathi Ann Kerney and Steven James Beeler. From her first breath, Holly carried a light that warmed everyone around her.

Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her son, Jakob Gregory Ray Alsup-her "son shine," her "Jakeyboi." She loved him with a fierce, unconditional love that defined her life. He was her reason, her pride, and her purest source of happiness.

On December 12, 2020, Holly married the love of her life, Joseph Aguirre, who embraced Jakob as his own from the moment they'd met. Their bond was deep, their love true, and their time together heartbreakingly short. Joseph passed away from cancer just weeks later, on December 31, 2020, leaving a hole in Holly's heart that never fully healed.

Holly faced more loss in her last years than anyone should. She was preceded in death by her mother Kathi, her Grandpa Ray, her husband Joseph, and many dear friends.

She is survived by her son Jakob; her father Steven; maternal siblings Ryan Holmes (Melissa) and Sara Sandall; paternal siblings Misti Borgen, Tammy Bowden, Lisa Manning, Steven Windgrove (Eunju), Jason Williams, Jesse Blake (Melissa), and Pricillia Hirst (Spencer); her favorite cousin BettyJean Marks and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her deeply.

Holly was known for her kindness and her open heart-she never met a stranger and loved people exactly as they were. She would give the shirt off her back or the shoes off her feet without hesitation. She was a Deadhead, a 420-loving free spirit, and a hippie to her core.

In her final year, Holly faced cancer while also struggling with the disease of addiction. These two illnesses together became more than her body could bear. Those who loved her believe we might have had more time with her, and maybe even beaten the cancer, if she had been able to embrace sobriety. For her friends who may be facing the same struggles-please, honor Holly's memory by choosing life and choosing recovery.

Her years living in Missouri brought her lifelong friendships, and she cherished the people she met there. She will be remembered for her laughter, her generosity, her fierce love for her son, and the way she accepted people exactly as they were.

Until we meet again, ABC. Always.

Holly's Celebration of Life is Thursday, August 21st at 1:00pm at Brookside Funeral Home, Moxee, WA, Reception details to be announced.
