Homer Terry Cornish

Homer Terry Cornish, age 94, died peacefully at his Sunnyside home in Harrisonburg, VA, on March 7, 2026.

Homer was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his two children, Jennie and Trent, and grandchildren, Ryan and Caroline.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice, and his second wife, LaRue.

Homer dedicated his life as a faithful, Presbyterian minister for 40 years, and he taught many how to love God, worship, sing, and play the piano. After retirement from the ministry, he dedicated much of his time to serving God and others through his church, Presbyterian Missions, Sunnyside, and Heifer International, where he volunteered on numerous occasions.

Homer's life will be celebrated at a service at Sunnyside Chapel in Harrisonburg, VA, at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, followed by his burial beside his deceased wife, Alice, in Front Royal, VA.
