Homer Coy Joiner

Homer Coy Joiner, age 94, of Columbiana, passed away on May 15, 2025.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Columbiana, with Dr. Mike Miller officiating. Visitation will precede the service from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.
Mr. Joiner is preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Horn Joiner and his daughter: Jacqueline Joiner Vansant. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Joiner; grandchildren, Megan Vansant Bullard (Matt), Dane Vansant (Lizzie), Jacqueline Head, Marjorie Head Cope (Griffen), and Sarah Elizabeth Head; great-grandchildren, Stella Bullard, Kate Bullard, Dax Vansant, Ellis Vansant, and Emmett Vansant; as well as many other cherished family members and friends.
Mr. Joiner was a devoted and active member of First Baptist Church of Columbiana, faithfully serving in countless ways throughout the years. Whether singing in the choir, counting the offering, or serving on a search committee, he was a constant and dedicated presence. His commitment to the church and its community of believers was unwavering. He found great joy in spending countless years driving his beloved "Miss Daisy," actively supporting his wife in her ministry, standing beside her as a faithful partner in service.
He dedicated over 45 years of service to Wood Fruitticher, where he was deeply respected for his loyalty, integrity, and strong work ethic. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was honored as Man of the Year in 1990.
Above all, he was a loving and devoted family man. He cared deeply for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and found great joy in supporting them. Whether at a sporting event, recital, or any other activity, he was always eager to be present, cheering on those he loved most.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Columbiana, designated for the Migrant Camp ministry.
