Hope Clement

Hope Collins Clement passed away peacefully on October 20, 2023 at 99 years young. Hope was born on November 1, 1923 to Marion Frank and Clara Rhodes Collins in Winchester, Arkansas.
She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Clement owned and operated a beauty salon in Jefferson Square for many years. She was also known for her years taking care of customers at the MaRu in Pine Bluff and later at Sissy's Log Cabin.
Throughout her life, Hopie never met a stranger and could light up a room with both her energy and charismatic personality. Whenever she had the opportunity, Hopie was in the kitchen preparing overabundant meals for those she loved or was spending time in her beauty shop chatting and fixing hair. On her weekends, Hopie enjoyed partying and dancing with friends at Eden Park and the VFW. Hopie's loved ones were left with a lifetime of wonderful memories to remember her by.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Clement, son, Wing Collins Tichenor; siblings, Regine Morris Lucas, June Morris Ackeman, Bo Morris, Emily Collins Riggins and John Collins; and nieces and nephews, Nan Riggins Crosby, Lydia Ann Morris Cowgill and Percy Morris.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Tichenor Zenisek (Joseph) of McPherson, Kansas; grandson, Dr. Joseph Zenisek (Shyla) of Indianapolis, Indiana and their children, Preston, Scarlett and Elodie; granddaughter, Emily Zenisek Elgert (Mark) of Kearney, Nebraska and their children, Hopie, Spencer, Joseph and Andrew; grandson, Mathew Zenisek (Amy) of Lenexa, Kansas and their children, Bennett, Matilda and Mabel; grandson, Frank Zenisek (Bethany) of Lenexa, Kansas and their children, Hunter and Frank; grandson, Cole Zenisek (Becca) of Overland Park, Kansas and their children, James and Luke; step-daughter, Barbara Quinn Hoover (Alan) of Bedford, Texas; granddaughter, Kim Hoover Easton (Andy) of Tomboli, Texas and their children, Arden and Kenna; granddaughter, Kacie Hoover Fuson (Zach) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and nephew, Frank Riggins (Elaine) of Little Rock, AR.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Judy Rudd officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Robinson's.
