Wayne Eugene Borecky

Wayne Eugene Borecky, 81, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2026.

He was born July 13, 1944, in Pine Bluff, to Harry Eugene and Audrey Ballard Borecky.

Wayne graduated from Pine Bluff High School and attended Henderson State University and remained a pillar of his community throughout his life.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country with honor from 1966 to 1968. Following his military service, he began a career marked by loyalty and hard work, dedicating 37 years to the Cotton Belt Railroad retiring as an Engineer.

Wayne was a man of many talents and had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. An avid fisherman and hunter, he found his greatest peace in the woods and on the water. When he wasn't outdoors, Wayne would be wood working, always building or repairing something. His adventurous spirit also led him to travel, exploring new places and making lasting memories along the way.

In his later years, Wayne's life was enriched by a renewed focus on faith and family. He was a devoted member of Calvary's Lighthouse Church, where he found a strong spiritual community. A significant milestone in his faith journey occurred on October 3, 2015, when he was baptized, a testament to his commitment to his Lord. In 2021, Wayne found further happiness when he married Rhonda Yosemite, and together they shared several years of companionship and shared devotion.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Borecky; his former spouse, Patsy Simmons Borecky and their three children; Carrie Sue Schwindt (Eric), Shala Ann Simmons (Chris), Martin Borecky; grandchildren, Kyle and Austin Schwindt, Chandler and Reagan Simmons and a great-grandchild, Harper Riley Manes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Larry Jay Borecky.

A Memorial service by the family will be Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary's Lighthouse Church, 8701 Shannon Road, Pine Bluff, AR 71603, with Reverend Sammy Alverson officiating.
