Hope (Hammontree) Morgan was born on October 10, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Gloria Faye (Sellers) and Robert Earl Hammontree. She passed away on August 2, 2023 at home in Arlington, Texas.
Hope was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a Christian and she loved her Lord Jesus. She loved to deal in antiques and collecting things from the past. She was a bird watcher and enjoyed looking for butterflies. She was truly at home when she was in the countryside. She and her family enjoyed many trips to the mountains of New Mexico. Hope was an animal lover and was at peace when she was with her dogs and cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Freddie Joe Morgan, Sr.
She is survived by her beloved son, Freddie Joe “Joey” Morgan, Jr. of Arlington; brother, Barry Hammontree and wife, Debbie and their family.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Alpine Funeral Home located at 2300 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth with Rev. Marc Lowrance officiating.
