Horace Ronald Reynolds

Horace Ronald Reynolds, age 85, of Stockbridge, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 27, 2025. He was born on March 28, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Lester Horace and Annie Grace Reynolds. Horace "Ronald" is survived by his wife, Linda (Barnes) Reynolds; his daughter and her husband, Rhonda (Reynolds) Benton and Kenneth Benton of Social Circle, Georgia; his son and his wife, David Reynolds and Denise (Grubbs) Reynolds of Jackson, Georgia; and his grandchildren Bret Benton and wife Crystal Benton and their daughters Bailey and Braelyn of Social Circle, Georgia; Joshua Reynolds and wife Kandie Reynolds and their children Verity and Declan of Social Circle, Georgia; April Foster and husband Nicholas Foster and their children Emily, Landen and Ava of Social Circle, Georgia; Caleb Reynolds and wife Brittany Reynolds and their sons Houston and Canaan of Forsyth, Georgia; and Brittany Basinger and her children Adelyn, Gunnar, and Sawyer of Ellerslie, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Horace and Annie Grace Reynolds; his sister, Lola Virginia (Reynolds) Hicks; and his grandson Matthew Jason Benton. Ronald grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a graduate from Murphy High School, class of 1958. Ronald served in the U.S. Navy in aircraft maintenance at Pensacola Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida. Following his service, he returned to Georgia where he worked as a Dekalb County Police Officer and later moved to Southern Bell where he retired after a 25+ year career. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Reverend James Ward officiating; interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
