Howard Bishop Obituary
A funeral service will be held for Howard Van Bishop at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at First Methodist Church Artesia with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. David McGaughy will be officiating.
Mr. Bishop passed away on June 4, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1958, to Bobby and Lois (Howard) Bishop in Artesia, NM.
Howard was known for his love and commitment to serving his family, his love for the Artesia High School football team, knowledge of rock and roll music legends and his ability to find any location using Google Earth. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, knowledge of all things Artesia, and love for Folgers coffee.
He is preceded by his father, Bobby Clarence Bishop and sister, Tamara Lois Bishop.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Wendy Bishop; son, Christopher Bishop (Paula); sister, Joni Bearden (Glenn); mother, Lois Janet Bishop; his puppy princess, Teela May; and numerous nieces and nephews.
