Howard Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Skinner Funeral Home - Cumberland on Feb. 14, 2025.
Howard Frank Davis, age 92, of Cumberland passed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Care and Rehab-Cumberland. He was born December 2, 1932 to Roy and Bernice (Lloyd) Davis.
Howard was a proud Navy Veteran, having served four years. After his time in the service, he spent many years working at Jerome Turkey Store, and later, Jennie-O. He even worked at 3M for a bit, and dabbled in construction. For the most part, Howard enjoyed a simple life, but he certainly made sure to live it to the fullest. He and his brother took the time to be sociable with others, most times in the form of daily "coffee" outings.
He is survived by three sisters, Irene Avery of Cumberland, WI, Eldoris Bauer of Menomonie, WI, and Lucille Fogelberg of Woodbury, MN; nieces and nephews, Carl (Desi) Avery, Burt (Barb) Avery, Jim (Debby) Avery, Virginia Hustad, LaVeena (Lynn) Kuhl, Amy (Jason) Ostertag, Darwin (Jana) Haines, Brent (Mai) Haines, Beth (Mike) Collins, Calvin (Melanie) Davis, and Tamala (Chris) Kolling; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Bernice Davis; brother, Harold Davis; brother-in-laws, John Avery, Richard "Dick" Bauer, and Herbert "Herb" Fogelberg; niece, Rebecca Bauer; and nephew-in-law, Greg Hustad.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, February 24, at Skinner Funeral Home, of Cumberland. Visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home.
Military honors and a luncheon will follow the service. Interment Lakeside Cemetery.
