Howard Norman Geschwind, 83, of Laguna Woods, California passed away on September 9, 2025. He was born on November 5, 1941, to Lillian (Moriber) and Samuel S. Geschwind in Brooklyn, New York. He served in the US Army and graduated from New York University. During his cross-country travels Howard discovered California and eventually made San Diego, California his home where he married and raised two daughters. He founded All Rite Water Refining and was in the water filtration business for over 45 years. In 2023, he moved to Laguna Woods, California where he enjoyed spending time with new friends, attending dances, and playing on the putting green. Howard cherished his family and friends. He was a selfless and generous man who enjoyed making people laugh. He will be greatly missed.
Howard is survived by his daughters Melanie V. Geschwind and Adriane (Michael) L. Bennett; grandchildren Paris Romo and Kensie Bennett; and brother Charles Geschwind.
A celebration of life will be held in Howard’s memory at Mission Bay Beach Club, 2688 Mission Bay Drive, San Diego, CA 92109 at 1 pm on Sunday, September 28. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
