Howard Lynn Goldstrom, 80, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and lived there for several years before moving to Indiana. In 2019, he relocated to Florida, and later to Texas in 2023.
Howard attended Lane Technical High School and earned an associate degree in Business Administration from Generations College. He went on to receive a BA in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University. He worked as a Claims Adjuster for the Social Security Administration until his retirement in 2007, after which he served as a substitute teacher in local schools from 2007 to 2014.
He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, both in Mishawaka, Indiana, and Greenville, Texas. Howard enjoyed playing BINGO and visiting casinos—he especially loved the slot machines! A devoted Chicago Cubs fan, he was thrilled to see them win the World Series in 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Marion Goldstrom, and his beloved wife, Mary Goldstrom. Cremation has taken place. He will be interred alongside Mary at Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Indiana, at a later date.
