Howard Henis, 75, of Warrington, PA, passed away on July 30th, 2020. Howard was born in South Philly on April 24th, 1945 to Louis and Tobey (Zorwell) Henis. Howard met and fell in love with Sharon Saks when they were 13 and 15 years old at a dance party. They have been dancing ever since. Howard graduated in the honors society from Temple University in 1966 as an accountant. He accepted a job at Arthur Anderson right after he married his childhood sweetheart. Their romance lasted 54 years. You could always count on him for anything; whether it was running to the grocery store, delivering soup, doing your taxes or running over to let the dogs out. He never turned down a homemade meal or chance to treat you to dinner. He was patiently waiting to eat a peanut with his grandson. A summer rarely went by that he didn't spend on the porch in Ocean City with his family; with a cigar and a book in his hand. Howard is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon (Saks) Henis, his daughters and son-in-law's, Jill (Henis), Scott Shapiro and Nori (Henis), Josh Jacobson. Howard is also survived by his big sister and brother-in-law, Sharon (Henis), Harold Riffkin, and his sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie (Saks), Alvaro Munoz. Howard was a proud Zayda to four grandchildren; Lindsay, Melanie, Rebecca and Zachary. Howard had many nieces, nephews and numerous beloved friends. Howard was his happiest when he was surrounded by all the people he loved and his puppy, Jessie. He enjoyed spending his time at the Cigar Shop with the guys and playing golf on Sundays with Al. He always showed up for his grandkids sports games, music concerts and celebrations. He was known for the wise advice he would give to everyone and his sarcastic sense of humor. Temple remained a huge part of his life by attending many football tailgates with his family and friends. He was always sure to let Sharon know how much he loved her, and when she was with him, all was right in the world. He will be greatly missed. Howard will be laid to rest on August 2nd, 2020,12:00 noon at Montefiore Cemetery, 600 Church Rd, Jenkintown, PA, Section 14.

Darling Howard, You were the man of my dreams, my knight in shining armor, my Prince Charming and more. You were the best husband and you loved and cared for me with all you heart. I loved seeing you every morning and waiting for you every night. You took care of my every want and need. You always insisted I was the most beautiful woman in the room. You were amazing to so many people but you belonged to me. Now you get to wait for me. I will walk in your steps forever. You will hold me in your arms again. Rest In Peace knowing that I am surrounded by our loving family. I will find you in my dreams and kiss your soft lips. Sharon.

Darling Howard. You were the love of my life, the man of my dreams, my knight in shining armor, my Prince Charming, my one true love of a lifetime and much more. All you did was love me and care for and about me. You always insisted I was the most beautiful woman in the room. You were the one I loved it in the mornings and waited for at night. All we ever wanted was for our life to stay exactly as it was. You were amazing to so many people but you belonged to me. Now you get to wait for me to come to you. Our love will never die. Rest In Peace my love. I will walk in your steps forever. You will hold me again. Sharon.

Howard is the person that always held the focus of the room whenever I saw him. No matter who was there or how many, he spoke softly and everyone listened. He just was the person that balanced everything, never negative and always insightful, his words carried meaning. Howard was loving and devoted to his family, and that’s all he ever wanted or needed. I’ve known him my whole life and he will be missed. I love him and I am in shock that he has passed, he will be missed.

Cousin Howard,
You were always warm, welcoming and fun to be around. I have many great memories of visiting the Philly family and staying over at your place. Even when we debated Philly vs DC sports, you did it with a smile. You will be missed.

We wish we could be there today and send our love to Cousin Sharon, Jill, Nori and your families.

Sharon, my deepest condolences to you and your family on Howard's passing. I was with him on the golf outing and was the last person to have had contact with him. We were all together on the last night doing our usual routine of story telling and joking around, as Howard announced he was off to bed. I playfully gave him a hug and the guys said goodnight to him. Howard spoke of you at dinner that evening and of course you know how much you were loved by him and he knew how much he was loved by us all! He will be forever in our hearts, Respectfully, Richard Doster.
