Howard Daniel Hightower passed away on Wednesday March 12, 2025 in Irving, Texas. “Danny” was born on January 19, 1948 to Harrison Baker Hightower and Leora Andrews (Maphis).
After serving in the Army, Danny worked for over 25 years at Self-Serve Fixtures as a welder and shipping supervisor. He finished his career with the City of Coppell working in the water department division until his retirement.
Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. Perfecting his fishing skills resulted in catching very big large-mouth bass, and had a record catch of a bass in Palestine, TX.
Danny was proceeded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving partner and caregiver, Christine Bailey; sons Greg Hightower of Arlington Texas and Jeff Hightower (Sherry) of Mansfield TX; Brothers Sam (Janis) of Granbury, TX and Bill (Kathy) of Palestine, TX; his Grandchildren, Jade Hightower, Audrey Hightower, Matthew Hightower, Andrew Hightower.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 2:00pm on Monday March 17, 2025 at the Smithfield Cemetery in North Richland Hills.
