Awilda A. Rivera

Awilda A. Rivera, 79, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, Awilda was the beloved daughter of Carmen Camacho Padilla. She carried with her the warmth, strength, and vibrant spirit of her Puerto Rican heritage throughout her life. A devoted Catholic, Awilda’s faith was the foundation upon which she built her life. She found strength in prayer and comfort in her relationship with God, and her faith guided the love and compassion she so freely shared with others.

Awilda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Oscar E. Rivera; her children, Oscar J. Rivera and Yesenia B. Rivera; her cherished grandchildren, Josiah Rivera, Isabella Rivera, and Michael Villarreal; her great-grandson, Luke Villarreal; and her daughters-in-law, Bethania Rivera and Maria Salinas.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jude Rivera Salinas.

Awilda will be remembered for her unwavering love, steadfast faith, and the genuine care she extended to everyone around her. Her presence filled every room with warmth, and her beautiful legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply.

She will be profoundly missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
