Keith Richard Flight

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved friend and family member, Keith Richard Flight. Known for a kind spirit and unwavering generosity, his life touched all who were fortunate to know him. Keith will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he enriched.

Keith Richard Flight, age 65 of Bedford, Texas unexpectedly passed away on February 21st, 2026, in Harris Methodist, Fort Worth.

Born on February 1st, 1961, to James and Doreen Flight.

Keith is survived by his spouse of 9 years Euis Nahwahidah, 3 daughters Beverly, Mandy, and Cheryl, son Sean, 2 sisters, Sue, and Lucy and his brother Alan. Along with 12 grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by both his parents James and Doreen.

Born in Somerset, England on a dairy farm for Jersey cows. Keith was the first of 4 children. The family moved to the new forest when he was 6 years old. Here he had freedom to roam outdoors, go off on his bike or fishing down the river.

He fully embraced village life with its annual bed racing and carnival madness. He loved being in his dads shed building go-carts and skateboards. Sundays he would visit Carlos ice cream shop where he was known as Flight #1. He spent many of his future years taking his children there too, when he would visit his family.

Keith excelled in Scouts and was awarded the Queens scout award. Following school, he headed into a career of Air Engineer mechanic specializing in air weapons in the Royal Navy from 1977 – 1985. During this period he survived the Falklands war in 1982.

The next several years were spent in several different jobs in the technical engineering field and travelling the world.

He settled in Texas in 2003 with his then wife Lesley. He found his place in the world here, he fully embraced the life and culture. He found his people and was able to build a life anyone would be proud of. Keith loved to put his love of building into his home and renovated it entirely alone, while living life to the absolute fullest.

Still working and travelling, he met and married his now wife Euis in 2016 and brought her to America in 2019 to build a life with him.

Keith again renovated his new home. He loved that he had established the skills to do this and was proud of his work.

Keith also loved to have a life of leisure too, his passions included fun with friends at his favorite bar, having his daughter and her family visit (he loved to show off his work, friends, and favorite spots), taking care of the yard, relaxing in his shed, fishing and golf. If he wasn’t at the bar wearing his jersey during a game, whether it be football (American and English), Hockey, or Baseball, friends would be reaching out to talk about the game.

Keith wasn’t big at expressing his feelings, but as a brother, Keith was a protector, as a father and grandad, he was caring, nurturing and always trying to instill the best qualities in his children and grandchildren. As a husband, he was a giver, he gave everything he had and loved more deeply than anyone would ever know.

Keith was most of all, looking forward to retirement and finally being able to relax and do things on his own time.

In loving memory, may his legacy of compassion and warmth continue to inspire those he leaves behind. Keith will be missed by all family and friends near and far. The man, the myth, the legend.
