Our loving husband and father Richard M. Perez left this world and was greeted by his Heavenly Father, February 2, 2026. Though our hearts are broken and will never be the same, we are grateful for the time we were blessed to share with him. With his passing he is made whole again once more.
Richard was born June 10, 1956 in Brownsville, Texas. Attending Brownsville High School he found his love for football. He went on to play football at West Texas A&M University where he met the love of his life, Ramona. They were married August 12, 1978 in Canyon, Texas. Richard quickly found a career in sales, which many would agree he was born to do. A congenial and friendly man, Richard loved visiting with clients and had a gift for making people feel valued and deeply cared for.
Richard and Ramona went on to have a beautiful family, 3 children. He was the light and rock of his family’s life, sacrificing everything for them. Richard was a present and loving figure in his 5 grandchildren’s lives, all who loved their Poppie dearly.
Richard is survived by his wife, Ramona Jurado Perez, his daughter Amanda Etter and her husband Mitchell, their 3 sons Owen, Eli, and Noah of Colleyville, TX, his son Richard Perez II, his wife Jacqui, their children Richard III and Alexandra of McKinney, Texas, his daughter Victoria Davidson and her husband Jared of Dripping Springs, Texas, brother Amalio Damien Perez, and sister Mary Perez Jasso. He is preceded in life by his parents Jose and Trinidad Perez, brothers Jose Jr. and Daniel Perez, and sister Berta Perez Moreno.
A mass for Richard will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Bedford, Texas on (date).
A family man, friend to all, and a presence bigger than life, Richard will never be forgotten. We continue to share the love he gave us, as he smiles down on us from the arms of our Lord and Savior.
