Howard Lamont Johnson Jr. was born on November 5, 1971 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Howard Sr. and Dorothy Johnson. Howard entered eternal rest on November 9, 2022. Howard graduated from University High School in 1990 and attended Essex County College. He was a member of New Saint Matthew Baptist Church under the leadership of his late grandfather, Reverend Leonard Lee Brooks and attended Macedonia Nondenominational under the spiritual leadership of his late grandmother, Pastor Alscine Brooks. Later in life, Howard relocated to Valdosta, GA where the Lord called him into ministry. He was ordained as an Evangelist by late Apostle Larry Camon Sr. and Bishop John Wesley Johnson in 2011 and ordained Minister in 2013, at Bethlehem Full Circles Ministries in Lakeland, Ga where he led a Youth Ministry. He also served as a Minister Volunteer at Pruitt Health, Valdosta. He was a current Evangelist at Warren Temple Holiness Church in Valdosta, GA. In September of 2017, Howard married Sabrina Cockfield.
Howard was preceded in death by his sister, the late Sandra Johnson Simmons and niece Tannona Ladell Cadorrah Shivers. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Sabrina Johnson, son DeVante' Howard Lamont Johnson III, grandson DeVante' Xaviar Johnson, granddaughter Janet Younger-Johnson, sisters Doreen M. Johnson, Eileen R. Johnson Nah, Sharon Crawley, Brother-in-law Doslah Nah Sr., Aunt Alice Farewell and Uncle Otis Brooks. Family mourning his loss are his nieces Jasmine and Grace, nephews Destin, Doslah Jr., and Sunday, great nieces and nephews, Godson Robert Marchenique Smith, children-in-love Darnell and Dominique Smith, best friends Robert Smith and Ketechia Sales as well as a long list of family and friends who will all miss him dearly.
