Howard Kopelic, age 81, of New Galilee, PA - formerly of North Side, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Beloved husband for 59 years of Josephine (Abbate) Kopelic; father of Dennis Kopelic (Missy), David Kopelic (Sue), and Michael Kopelic (Jennifer); grandfather of Will Thornton, Bradley Thornton, Cassandra Kopelic, Jerald Kopelic, Santana Kopelic, Kristen Johnston, Dennis Kopelic, Jr., Mason Kopelic, and Malia Carmichael; brother of the late Timothy Kopelic. Also survived by many great-grandchildren.

Family will welcome friends on Monday from 12-2pm and 4-6pm at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View, PA 15229, where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at 11am.

Howard was a proud Marine Corps veteran who brought passion and dedication to every aspect of his life. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and had a deep appreciation for music, having once worked as a disc jockey. Howard was also a skilled web designer, enjoyed poker nights with friends, and was devoted to bodybuilding-a reflection of his strong will and discipline. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, diverse talents, and unwavering strength.
