He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Brady Middlebrooks and Louise
Henson Middlebrooks; Daughter Paula Michelle Barnes; Grandson Zackery P
Barnes; Brothers Billy Joseph Middlebrooks and Robert Brady Middlebrooks Jr.,
Nephews Randy and George Thomas Middlebrooks; Great Nephews Adam and
John Middlebrooks; Sister-in-law Sharon Middlebrooks.
Mr. Middlebrooks is survived by his wife of 58 1/2 years Paulette Gray
Middlebrooks; Daughter Leslie Arnold (George); Son Michael Joseph
Middlebrooks (Kim); Brother Gerald Middlebrooks (Barbara); Grandchildren Nikki
Nelson (Michael), Keri Stewart (Scott), Lindsey Arnold (Leslie Hamilton), Michael
Owen Middlebrooks; Great Grandchildren Sarah, Emma, Josiah and Micah-Kate
Nelson, Harper Grace and Zackery Stewart; Special Friends Jerry and Peachy
McElroy, Travis and Wanda Criss and a host of extended family and friends.
Big Mike was a deacon at New Hope Independent Church where he and Paulette
renewed their wedding vows on their 50th anniversary. He will be remembered
for his love of racing and his church. He will also be remembered for his kindness,
unwavering integrity, easy going, fun loving nature and his love for his family,
especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his favorite daughter-in-law.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to New Hope
Independent Church 4636 Johns Cutoff Road Adger, AL 35006
